People everywhere are celebrating International Women’s Day, and the LEGO world is no exception. We’ve created a special line of five inspirational women in tiny LEGO form to pay tribute to their huge contributions to the world we live in.
The minifigures include detailed recreations of pilot extraordinaire Amelia Earhart, Suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst, scientist Rosalind Franklin, artist Frida Kahlo and Nobel Prize winning female education activist Malala Yousafzai. All have been made with delightful attention to detail and each has a quotation from their real life counterpart printed across their back.
The set is well timed. Recently LEGO announced that they will be producing a set based on prominent women in NASA; a LEGO ‘Ideas’ project that we were proud to provided specially printed parts for.
International Women’s Day is always a great opportunity for us to celebrate a few of the creative, adventurous, inquisitive, brave and determined women out there. This year, we’ve picked a group of women who represent each of these traits perfectly. We wanted our daughters to play with toys that show the wild and wonderful things they could achieve, so we made some.
You can get these from minifigs.me/womensday if you feel so inclined!
