Desmond Tutu was an incredible man - he was the first Black African Archbishop of both Johannesburg and Cape Town. In 1984, he won the Nobel peace prize for his efforts in ending Apartheid. He was also well known for his support of women in the clergy and his support of gay rights.
The minifig of Desmond Tutu is available to buy individually or as part of the Black History Month 2021 Minifigure Set.
The quote on his optional baseplate reads: "My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.".
